Oversees the handling of troubleshooting issues escalated by the Service Desk involving workflows, interfaces, and applications, with a focus on clinical packages. Supports and coaches staff in their section, and helps to ensure the optimal usage of applications to meet the changing needs of the business.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Oversees the troubleshooting of L2 issues escalated by the Service Desk involving workflows, interfaces, and applications, with a focus on clinical packages.
2. Oversees the management of application downtime and other issues by liaising with the appropriate Application Department and other relevant technical departments, as necessary.
3. Oversees communicating downtime and other issues to relevant stakeholders and report back to stakeholders upon resolution.
4. Ensures the escalation of unresolved issues to the relevant Applications & Health Informatics Department, as necessary (L3 support).
5. Ensures the development of training material for users of business applications.
6. Oversees the implementation of standard and minor changes to certain applications capabilities as indicated in the change classification matrix.
7. Oversees assistance provided to end-users with packaged application report development.
8. Follows prescribed system safety and security procedures of computing environment.
9. Follows all Hospitals related Policies and Procedures.
10. Participates in self and others education, training and development, as applicable.
Education
Masters or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or other related discipline is required.
Experience Required
Five (5) years of related experience with Masters, or seven (7) years of related experience with Bachelors Degree is required.
