Senior MEP Engineer (Electrical major) with 5-10 years of experience

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced MEP Engineering Lead to join our growing team. In this leadership role, you will play a key role in all phases of MEP engineering for our projects, from initial design to project completion. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, managing project budgets and schedules, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality MEP systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of MEP engineers in the design, development, and implementation of building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team on all aspects of MEP engineering.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Oversee the quantity surveying process for MEP systems, including takeoffs, estimating, and preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Manage project budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness throughout the design and construction phases.
• Develop and maintain project schedules for MEP works and ensure timely project completion.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including calculations, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Conduct constructability reviews and identify potential challenges or conflicts early in the design process.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest codes, standards, and technologies in the MEP engineering field.
• Identify and implement opportunities for innovation and optimization in MEP systems design.
• Manage and mentor junior MEP engineers, fostering their professional development.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (or equivalent) in Saudi Arabia or another GCC country (preferred).
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in MEP engineering design and project management within the GCC region.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team of engineers.
• Strong project management skills, including experience with budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant MEP design software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in English and Arabic (highly desirable).
