Job Description Job title: General Accountant (Job tag 191) Organization: AL KSA Region MEA Location: Al Khobar, KSA Name (and initials): Company Name: AL RHQ KSA Functional Reporting to: Ateq Al Juhani/ Zaheer Abbas Organizational relationship: Zaheer Abbas, Finance Manager ME Main purpose of the job / Mission: Manage the day‐to‐day accounting operations within area of responsibility (e.g. Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger) Key tasks:
  • Verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling the accounts within area of responsibility
  • Maintaining accurate accounting within area of responsibility to be in line with accounting principles and reporting schedules
  • Prepare monthly account schedules of accruals, prepayments, customer advances, supplier advances, EOSB, employee advances,
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations of GL, PL, SL, bank, petty cash.
  • Producing accounting reports and present results.
  • Maintaining and balancing subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
  • Facilitate and complete monthly closing procedures.
  • Analyze revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on monthly basis. P
  • Periodic assistance with financial and tax audits at year end
  • Regular documentation of VAT invoices of suppliers, and assistance in quarterly VAT returns filing preparation
  • Assist with preparing yearly income tax returns.
  • Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls
  • External and internal audit liaison
  • Collaborate with counterparts in the finance processes, Financial Shared Service
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvements within area of responsibility.Competencies, experience, and attitudes to do the job:
Qualification and Experience:
  • We are looking for a professional accountant, Accounting Graduate (BS, B. Com or BA in Accounting) degree and minimum 5 years of experience from an international group of companies.
To be successful in this role:
  • You have a solid practical experience of Accounting principle for all areas of company business
  • Good knowledge of KSA accounting framework, taxation and IRFS standards.
  • You must be dedicated, solution-oriented person with a high work capacity.
  • Ability and capacity to work with a lot of data, ability to multitask.
  • Able to deliver under pression against strict deadlines. Ability to focus and find right priorities
  • You have excellent language skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • You have good communication skills and great ability to work in a group.
